Airbus A330-800 Performs Its First Flight
Airbus A330-800 made its first flight on 6 November 2018 and received EASA type certification on 13 February 2020. This maiden flight performed from France’s Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, opened the certification campaign for this shorter-fuselage version. Incorporating new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, and new technologies that bring longer range and fuel burn reduction for airlines, A330-800 which features an extended wingspan of 64 meters, is the most efficient, longest-range entry level widebody aircraft, noting that these sophisticated engine offers the quietest and most comfortable cabin in its category.
